Fouziah Ahmed, a recent graduate from our coding bootcamp has landed her first tech role! Fouziah and nine other classmates completed the bootcamp this past February and began their apprenticeship with our partner organization, Software for Good. The apprenticeship reached its completion in early July, has supported the students in their search for tech jobs. During this time, Fouziah accepted her new role as a Data Manager at an IT company.

Fouziah says, “During my time at the NVF coding bootcamp and the apprenticeship, I’ve learned a lot of technical knowledge and skills. I was also able to work on my professional development and network with my peers and mentors. It’s been a long but rewarding journey from the bootcamp to the apprenticeship and now being able to land a job during the apprenticeship has been very exciting. I’m grateful to the NVF and SfG staff for their constant support and motivation throughout the entire program.”

It's been a few months into her new role and we touched base with Fouziah to see how things are going. She says that her experience thus far has been rewarding. She adds, "There's definitely been a learning curve learning new systems and processes, but working with data gives me a sense of contributing directly to the company's success by using information to solve problems, innovate, and improve processes."
