Our Programs

New Vision Foundation offers school-based as well as after-school coding and digital literacy classes for disadvantaged youth and young adults.

Since our founding in 2016, we have continued to invest heavily in our youth and prepare them for the 21st century digital economy. We want to foster opportunities for them to connect with the world of coding, introduce them to careers in the information technology sector, and create a robust pipeline of future high-tech employees.

Staff & Board

New Vision Foundation staff, from the Founder & Executive Director, to Software Developers that teach the coding classes, are members of the minority community themselves. They bring decades of technical experience, cultural competency and credibility of working towards community economic development and social justice.

New Vision Foundation became a statewide organization in the summer of 2021 with our pilot coding and digital literacy class in St Cloud, MN. We now offer after-school coding and digital literacy classes to disadvantaged youth in the cities of Willmar and St Cloud, MN.

Message From Our Founder

I am passionate about increasing the participation of minority communities in the high-tech industry as a means of solving racial income disparities in Minnesota. I want our youth to change their mindset from being just consumers of technology to being creators of technology. And I want Minnesota to be the best state in the country with the highest percentage of diverse workforce in the high tech sector.

Hussein Farah - Founder & Executive Director, New Vision Foundation
